Fantasy Baseball H2HWS
#1

Hallo,

1.Internationales Tournier/“H2H World Series”
2.Nationale Tourniere
3.Regionale Tourniere

Zitat:Rules and Frequently Asked Questions

What is H2H Fantasy Baseball?
In a Head-to-Head League, your team will square off in a weekly match up against another manager's team to see who can compile the best stats across the scoring categories. A new weekly match up will begin every Monday and will consist of a set number of games based upon the 12 categories. Each stat category counts as one game, with the win going to the team that finishes the week with the highest total in that category (the cumulative total after each Sunday's games). So, if in a given week, your team hits more home runs than your opponent’s does, you would be credited with a victory. However, if your opponent's team ended the week with more saves than your team, you would be charged with a loss. If the two teams end up tied in a given category, each will receive credit for a tied game. This weekly win-loss total will be added to a cumulative season record, which will be used to determine standings and playoff seeding. These standings will be based on your team's overall winning percentage, which is calculated by taking your win total and adding 1/2 of your tie total and dividing the sum by the total number of games your team has played.

What is the H2H World Series?
The H2H World Series is committed to bringing fantasy baseball players together from around the world, via a series of three unique, geographic, head-to-head (H2H) tournaments, culminating in the annual H2H World Series. Players are grouped together in weekly competition based upon their individual geographic regions.
Example; Players in Ohio play solely, against other players from Ohio, Canadians against Canadians and so on.
The International Tournament or H2H World Series must be played solely with players from their respective countries. Example: USA, Canada, Japan

What are these Tournaments?
There are three basic types or tournaments. They are the;
1.International Tournament/“H2H World Series”
2.National Tournaments
3.Regional/State Tournaments

The Regional and National Tournaments will be played annually, dependent solely upon regional interest. Each tournament will only be played with a minimum of eight players and up to a maximum of twenty (20) players. Tournaments with less than eight players per region or country will not be officially played for that season. Also, each tournament will only be played, with an ‘even’ number of players. If any tournament ends up with an ‘odd’ number of players going into any given season, H2HWS Management will create a ‘dummy team’ within that league. (See dummy teams below) The winners from each individual Regional Tournaments will then advance to represent their respective State or Region in an 8-20 team National Tournament to take place during the following baseball season. The winner will compete against the winners from the other State or Regional Tournaments. Winners from each individual National Tournament will likewise advance the next baseball season, only they get the right to represent their respective country in the annual H2H World Series.

The H2H World Series will be played annually, regardless of the minimum number of teams and up to a maximum of 20 teams or 20 countries.

What can I Name my Team?
Your team name MUST always represent your current home region. If you reside in Chicago, your team name would then be the “Chicago (your choice)” If you were representing Iowa in the National Tournament, your team name would be the “Iowa (your choice)”. Regional "USA (your choice)"

What are the Game Settings?
1.Max Teams: 16
2.Scoring Type: Head-to-Head
3.Player Universe: All baseball
4.Max Moves: 50 Including trades
5.Trade Reject Time: 2 days
6.Trade End Date: August 27, 2006

14.Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CF, OF, OF, UT, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL, DL
15.Stat Categories: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS, W, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP

How is position eligibility established?
1.If a position player makes five (5) starts or ten (10) total appearances at a new position during this season, he will become eligible to play that position.
2.Pitchers need to make three (3) starts to become eligible as a starter and five (5) relief appearances to qualify as a reliever

Do I have to start a player at every position?
You do not have to start a player at every roster position, but only those players on your starting roster will accumulate fantasy statistics.

What happens if I have an Injured Player?
1.Any player is eligible to be placed on the DL as long as he is on the real-life disabled list.
2.Once on the DL, a player may stay there for the entire season, even if he returns to real-life action.
3.When a player comes off the real-life DL, you will not be able to complete any transactions until you remove him from your team's DL.
4.You will be able to make intra-roster moves (switching players between bench and active) regardless of a player's DL status.

What are Waivers?
1.The waiver list is initially set based on the reverse of the draft order.
2.All players dropped from a team's roster are immediately placed on two (2) day waivers.
3.Waiver claims are processed according to the waiver priority list.
4.Waiver claims are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis. However, if more than one team claims the same player, the team that is highest on the Waiver Priority List is given first rights to the player.
5.Each time you add a waived player to your roster, you are pushed to the back of the list.
6.The rolling list stays in effect for the entire season and if nobody claims a player during the two day waiver period, he becomes a free agent.
7.If you place a player on waivers, you cannot reclaim that player until after the waiver period has expired.

How do Trades work?
1.If a trade offer is accepted, the entire league will be notified and managers can review the deal.
2.1/3 of the managers must vote against the trade in order for it to be vetoed. For example, if your league has 12 teams, then four votes “against” the deal are needed to veto the trade.
3.Once the trade has been accepted and the two day waiting period has finished, the trade will be processed and its results reflected on each team's roster and shown in the transaction log.
4.At no time will any manager be allowed to have more then five pending trades per league.
5.All trade votes once accepted or declined, are final.
6.At no time can the H2HWS commissioners overturn the results of a league vote unless collusion is apparent. (See Ethics)

How do I Win?
All tournaments must participate in playoffs. Playoffs will begin Sep 4th 2006.The playoffs will follow the set structure detailed below.

Week 1 (Sep 4 – Sep 10, 2006)
First Place and Second Place – Bye
Third Place vs. Sixth Place – Playoff Series 1
Fourth Place vs. Fifth Place – Playoff Series 2
Week 2 (Sep 11 - Sep 17, 2006)
First Place vs. Winner of Playoff Series 2
Second Place vs. Winner of Playoff Series1
Week 3 (Sep 18 - Oct 1, 2006)
Championship Game

No more than six teams will participate in the playoffs. To support the ideas of fair play and sportsmanship, we encourage all managers to retain their players even after they have been eliminated from championship contention. (See Ethics)

What are “Dummy Teams”?
1.H2HWS Management will run a dummy team for any tournament that might begin the season with an odd number of players.
2.The dummy team will auto draft his team, and waiver wire pickups will not be allowed except in the case of injury.
3.In case of an injury, the dummy team will, pickup the highest ranked player available, at the injured players starting position.
4.Once the original player returns, he must be placed back upon the roster and the replacement player must go back onto the waiver wire.
5.The dummy team will also be forbidden from participating in any trades.
6.The sole purpose of the dummy team is to add balance to the league, and to exclude the necessary ‘bye’ weeks for any tournaments with an odd number of players. It is not there to compete. If it wins, you people have problems

Player Guidelines
A) Winners Repeat – If you win your tourney, you are automatically invited back to play in that same tourney for the next season. An example: If Howie Mandelis in the World Tourney representing Canada and wins, but fails to win his respective Canadian National Tourney, he will automatically be placed back into the H2HWS for the following season. We would simply allow another team from Canada for the next season.
Winners always repeat.

B) Game Registration – Please register for your Yahoo league as soon as your league numbers are assigned. We work at their constraints. The sooner you sign up, the better. If for any reason a member does not register for his assigned league up to 7 days before his or her draft, the seat will be given to next available member from that region. The next available member will always be based upon last season’s winning percentage.

C) Ethics - Even though the H2HWS is meant to be a competitive experience for all involved, it is important that our members not lose sight of the rules of fair play and quality sportsmanship. All league related transactions must be executed solely with the intent of improving the owner's team and/or its standing within the league. No owner may drop or dump players from their team for any reason other than improving their own team and/or its standing within the league. No owner will engage in any action that may be deemed collusive (A secret agreement between two or more parties for a fraudulent or deceitful purpose.) No owner will take any action whose purpose is to, in any way, interfere with fair play in a tournament. It is the responsibility of all team owners to monitor activity within their leagues. If as an owner, you notice any suspicious or collusive activity in your league, please notify H2HWS at once, so that we may investigate and take any appropriate action if deemed necessary. Any members found to be scheming to throw a tournament will be removed, forever. All communication will be done in confidence.

Can I be a Commissioner?
The perfect candidate for commissioner would besomebody not only experienced in fantasy baseball, but somebody who has run a league before. Experience running a league is not a precedent though, as it can be taught. Ideally, I would love a candidate who would not only be a quality player, but somebody with strong ethics who would represent and primarily grow his or her region for our tournaments year in and year out. So yes, we will always be looking for quality people to run a few of our regional tourneys.

1.Commissioner responsibilities are actually minimal:
2.Simply set up the league to our predetermined settings in the spring.
3.Trades are always handled by vote, so commissioners should not need to get involved.
4.Report the scores back to our site for record keeping purposes
5.Ensure that owners do not get into anything unethical like dropping all their players.

All of the commissioners for the H2HWS also sit on the Rules Committee. Each off-season we will have a winter meeting amongst us commissioners to see what we can do to make the H2HWS even better, be it through growth or necessary rule changes.

Commissioners also act as moderators for our Yahoo group.

CBS: AmFiD, GFFL (Champion 2005), IFFL;
Dynasty-Rubin
Yahoo: NFL-Talk E-Liga, SDL(Champion 2005); NFL-Team (Champion 2005), Champion-Liga

Oh, so viele Meldungen ?

Big Grin
